I encourage anyone that truly wishes to understand this organization a “Good luck in that endeavor.” They are enigmatic to say the least, a society that wraps the veil of secrets about themselves as most would a warm blanket. So secretive were they that even the Pope became afraid of their strength. When whispers of heresy were placed in his ear by the King of France, Pope Clement took the opportunity to discover the hidden mysteries within their order. He was not prepared for their refusal. No threat or torture would untie their tongues, and so he destroyed the foundation of their order.
Now here is the interesting question, sir. Did they die? Did an organization which was richer than the church, held more secrets than the Pope and were as widespread as Christianity itself truly be destroyed by something so simple as piece of paper? Your guess is as good as mine. But, I doubt it. However, do not believe someone that holds themselves up as a Templar. People that survive on secrets do not just out themselves with ease.
